So the motel in Nashville had WiFi, and it was sweet. I wrote some Email, I even watch a couple of TV shows I had missed. But now we are in Gatlinburg for the week, and unfortunately the resort we are staying at charges for the access, and it's not really worth it, so I'm back to dial-up.

Saturday was a lot of fun, as we visited the Tennessee Renaissance Festival for the first time. Got to hear some great music, met some new people, and saw a beautiful permanent/temporary faire site. I'll talk more about it when I get back.

The Gatlinburg area is beautiful, but the town itself is like Branson on steroids. We are hoping to explore some of the Smoky Mountain National Forest. I had hoped to find some locals who sang/played traditional music from the area, but except for a mountain dulcimer player I had a chance to visit with, I do not expect to have much luck.

I may write more during the week, and I will write more about the trip once I get home.
